Hiya! You always have an option what to install in the settings once the new installation takes place or later you can change it as well just go to the Comodo folder. Yes the new software will be installed with the default settings. If you have 5.10 and don’t use Win8 you are fine don’t install 5.12. Also I advise you not to wait for the upgrade but to uninstall 5.10 and install version 6 on the clean system. Or you are talking about version 5.12? In that case don’t install it. 5.10 is fine.
I would like to have everything CIS 6 has except the antivirus. I was asking if new software will be installed on simple upgrade, not new installation; also if I should upgrade from 5.10 on 5.12 to 6.

New install + new config, or wait for in-program update. You may need to install other programs to see network connections, like kill sitch (from inside the program).

Someone mentioned that a keylogger can capture keystrokes inside the sandbox.
As I say there, and many agree, CIS should really have a way to apply restrictions inside the sandbox to avoid this kind of problem.

P.S. 2 After so long time I discovered Clean mode for HIPS. It is awesome. It was the main pain for several days to allow all that software already on my PC.
Did they try using the virtual keyboard as well and did that prevent keylogging or not?

Also, someone there said that HIPS can be enabled for the sandbox, same in v5. If it’s possible, how to do that?
When will Comodo update their help section for Comodo 6?
Maybe this is a bug.
test the keystroke logging with the sandbox level, “limited”
1.behavior blocker → it can be blocked
2.forced sandbox → it can not be blocked
The same issue will appear for the screen grabbing.
Conclusion:
Enabling the virtualization will reduce the protection for anti-logging.

If i want to have HIPS enabled (Proactive Security) and BB disabled which settings i must have ? Because i want to see the alerts and decide myself.
I have not really looked at help yet. I am scared to get CIS because I heard keyloggers can get through Comodo. As soon as I get CIS 6 I will check the help and report back to you.
You don’t need any special settings. Just choose verbose mode for HIPS, It is enough.

what will happen if i enable the cloud scanning from full scan option. will it protect me if cis’ data base is out of date?
That means that when you do a full scan that it will use the cloud. The realtime AV will always use the cloud, even if the database on the computer is out of date.
