Your welcome.
Mike
AAARrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh, my hopes were so high. Even though I was away and sick for 5 days, I still thought about Comodo release date.
Yours truly,
DoomScythe
We all did
Btw Comodo is perfect! Keep up the Good work.
I like the GUI very much, the options and the detailed explanations of whats goping on each time!
Hmmm. I could have sworn reading that the final would be pushed back a few weeks and an interim Beta with some additional bug fixes was going to be released, but I can’t find the post. I guess I was dreaming, right engemen?
Thanks, Al
Yes Al. But then BETA failed to pass minimum quality assurance and I deleted that line before too many people read.
so where’s the new version?
Next week. All the details are above, in this topic.
so where is this new 2.3 version that’s supposed to be out by the 24th
Hi,
The latest beta is 2.3.3.33 and there was no release on the 24th. There was meant to be a stable release, but due to a bug this will be held back until next week. This bug is fixed, so 2.3 should go to a stable release Tuesday.
Mike
So the new version will come out next tuesday. That’s good news! Though i haven’t had any problems with the old version it’s still exiting to see how this new version works.

Guys,
We are trying to release on August 31, 2006. So just 2 more days : )
As this is going to be available as update for existing 2.2.0.11 release version, we just want to make sure that there are no issues at all with the release.
MEHI:
GOOD! NEW UPDATE OVERDUE AND FANS ARE WAITING FOR SUGGESTED

Great.
But, since I use the 2.3 beta, I’ll have to uninstall it first and only then install 2.3, right? I have many rules set in my Application Monitor, Component Monitor and Network Monitor.
Is there any way to save those rules?
i also have the same question!
Hi,
These are instructions from egemen on how to back up CPF’s config and rules:
Mike
May you tell me please where’s the 2.3 stable version?
Posted above…
For 2.2.0.22 users, will we need to back up CPF’s config and rules when upgrading to keep our rules?
If so, can someone explain what “dumping” means in terms of backing up the config and rules?
Egemen wrote: But dumping the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Software\Comodo\Personal Firewall and all of its subkeys should work OK.
Just export the keys then import them back after installing.
Mike
which makes me think … this is the kind of thing it should obviously be able to do by itself, give the option. Hopefully that will be included in the next version. A simple user should not have to work in regedit for their firewall!
