Comodo firewall ver 2.3! (dates for launch)

Frustration Sigh (:SAD)
Was hoping to fully switch to Comodo… Will the new beta at least allow you to save your settings?

Eric

Unfortunatelt no.
If we can fix an issue related to windows security center today, we will try to release the BETA today. Otherwise, there is no point in releasing it with a known issue.

What’s the point with Windows Security Center? I know if i have a firewall and/or antivirus program installed… so i don’t need Windows to tell me that… :o
So i have just unchecked that Windows warns me if i have AV or FW installed…

I hadn’t realized there was a Windows Security Centre Issue. I know there used to be back in version 1. What’s the known issue?

Eric

Eric

I don’t think that’s the known issue that egemen was referring to. It’s probably (only a guess) the leak test issue or something like that.

Oh right… Thanks. Thought I was loosing my mind for a minute there…

I’m learning to be patient I guess…

Thanks again…

Eric

Take the time you need to put CPF stable and secure as possible

The WSC issue is that restricted user accounts get a warning that no firewall is installed, even though there is. It’s not a huge error, but an error none the less.

So will there be a beta release today?

There are no more beta releases for CPF. The last one was 2.3.3.33

You and Engemen should get together and talk to each other (:WIN)

Al

ok where can i get the last beta release? give me a link please, or wait until tomorrow to tget the letast new beta?

Well from my point of view things are progressing well. This version has been hardened against termination and suspension attacks.Advanced Process Termination from DiamondCS is now unable to shut down or suspend any of the modules in CPF (:CLP)

It may be early days but CPF is starting to look like it could be in a class of its own with regards to Windows firewalls. It really does appear to have an outstanding level of protection,if they can just keep working on keeping the resource usage to a minimum this will be head and shoulders above anything else! (:WIN)

@ adric

Ok, I just verified with Egemen, and CPF will straight to a stable release next week. There will be no more beta versions for CPF 2.3.

Hi Adric,

As you can see by KingKull’s post above I had already contacted egemen to verify this. CPF will go straight to a release next week. 2.3.3.33 will be the last beta in this cycle.

Mike

Hi Nikos,

The latest beta is 2.3.3.33 and can be downloaded from here:
https://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,1645.0.html

This is the final beta, and there will be no release tommorow. This will be a stable release next week.

Mike

Melih merhaba,

I think new version should be released today, but not available as of now :frowning:

Will you release it soon?

Additionally, i was expecting to have importing/exporting “Application rules” and “Network rules” and seems it will not be available in this version too.

Selamlar,
CK

Hi and welcome,

Due to an new issue the release was held back until it was fixed. About importing/exporting rules I’m sure this will supported in later versions.

Again welcome to Comodo,
Mike

Thank you very much Mike! I cant wait to try to run Comodo
