Will do! Thanks again!

The Chromium and Firefox based Comodo browser can use the extensions from the family they belong to.

You can use the extensions, but if there are too many, there will be a slow down of that browser. I only have one extension running in those browsers and that is the Web Of Trust Add-on. I have trusted this add-on for many years now. It alerts me of phishing sites, scam, virus and malware sites.

There is only one way to find out if and how extensions slows down and that’s trying; the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Remember that not loading ads will speed up load time of web pages. That should make up for other slow downs.

You could also consider to give Opera 37 orOpera 38 beta a try. It has ad blocking built in its engine making it work much more efficient than extensions. For those who like to know how Opera adblocker’s speed compares with the native adblocker read Opera browser built-in ad blocking, now in beta.

I’m using Opera 12.18 Classic and only use Ghostery. That works fine for me.

No thanks on Opera. I have tried it already. I have tried every browser. All I like is Microsoft Edge, Chromodo, Ice Dragon, and Mozilla Firefox. Scratch Google Chrome because it has privacy issues of leaking privacy information. I am fine the way CIS is right now. Comodo Firewall is disabled and Windows Firewall is enabled. I’ve got all the speed I need considering my processor and internet speed. It is what it is. I’m not liking the Comodo Firewall.

I have the Adblocker Plus running in Internet Explorer, Chromodo and Comodo Ice Dragon. Microsoft Edge does not allow browser extensions. I do not see any difference in the speed of my computer. I feel that it has to do with the Comodo Firewall of the Defense being too strong. What about the HIPS settings of the Defense? Btw, I have re-enabled the Comodo Firewall and have disabled the Windows Firewall.

I have uninstalled the Comodo Firewall. I still have Comodo Antivirus running with the Windows Firewall. In the security and maintenance section on the control panel, it says "Windows has detected that I do not have antispyware installed. I see a link in blue just below this to turn off the messages about the spyware and unwanted software protection since I have Comodo Antivirus and Windows Firewall running together. My computer is running very quickly just like it is right now. Let me know if it is Ok to turn off that message. Thank you.

You can turn off that message. The AV together with the sandbox also protects against spyware.

Eric,

Thank you very much. I will do just that. Comodo Firewall has been uninstalled off my computer. I am using Comodo Antivirus with Windows Firewall. Have a nice day!
