Comodo Dragon Version 50.14.22.465 released.

seems, Shane does not have plans at all or he just does not want to share :frowning:

I love Comodo but seems the browsers are dead…and staff is dead too.
I am not interested in Comodo browsers, but CCAV & CIS.

Please use browsers which get regular updates, security fixes. :-TU

I don’t think the project is dead it’s just not developing as fast as we expect though.

Responsiveness of Staff is never a guarantee. For CIS and CCAV BuketB does a lot work but for other projects there are usually less responses of Staff member or developers. We cannot judge the activity of a project by staff responses at the forums.

Hi yigido,
If you are not interested in Comodo browsers don’t use them.

Please use browsers which get regular updates, security fixes. :-TU
It is up to each individual users personal preference what software they use, they can decide for themselves. If anyone is relying on a more regularly updated browser to protect their system, they will eventually be sorry. I am running all 3 of Comodo browsers on numerous systems, with no stability issues or security related concerns. :-TU

Thank you.

Dear captainsticks,
How can you watch Twitter videos in Comodo Dragon / Chromodo

I am wondering this for 1 year! yes I cannot believe 1 year passed away…
See: https://forums.comodo.com/help-cd/this-browser-does-not-support-video-playback-t112637.0.html

Hi yigido,
I don’t watch Twitter videos full stop and I haven’t lost any sleep.

Thanks.

Hi captainsticks,

I want to ask this. How many Dragon users exist? I asked this to Melih and he said “4 Million approx”…
How many of those user cannot watch those videos for 1 year?

You are lucky that you don’t use Twitter. But us, the unlucky ones  Please think about us.

Thanks.

I can confirm Dragon does not play Twitter Videos.
What is the file format? YouTube plays perfectly.

Please read the whole thread.

JoWa is really helpful and informative on this matter :-TU

Hi yigido,
I am trying to find out more from Staff, no promises though.

Kind regards.

Thanks sir  :-TU

You can guess the new release date from Shane’s post.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info :-TU , looking forward to the update next month

(and hopefully without sneaky ad-ware from now on…)

@Shane,

any update on this wish? if you have no plan to add it. Please mark it as “rejected”… the wish section needs some interest.

CD v50.14.22.465 apparently only recently released, and already I’m getting web sites (gocomics.com for one) telling me my Chrome v50 is outdated and suggesting I install a newer browser. Any idea why that’s happening on a relatively recent version of CD, and when the next update to CD is coming out?

The new release must be available in the month September from Shane’s words.

You got this alert on that website because Comodo Dragon using the older core of Chromium codebase. The website is right, you have to update your browser. Comodo should do this!
Do not worry, the update is coming soon! :-TU

The website is not very tolerant of various browsers or its versions. It’s a tight choice the web site about what browsers to support. Outdated means they stopped testing for that version. The website will more than likely still work. As a user of Opera 12.18 I laugh at such messages… 8)

Well said

Eagerly waiting for the new release 88)

Please add an option into installer like

“Do you want to enable Comodo Adblocker in Comodo Dragon to block tracker and malicious ads?”

Users can install adblocker while updating too. Nice option to have.
Nowadays, many browsers offer adblockers to users. :-TU

Comodo Dragon v52.15.25.66 is now available for download.
