COMODO Cloud for Windows 2.1.5 Released!

Hello,

We are happy to announce the public release of COMODO Cloud 2.1.5

What’s new and fixed (compared to 2.1.4)

  • Issue with synchronizing large files, causing the large files to become truncated;
  • When collecting debug information, a connection test with CCloud server is automatically performed and results written in log;
  • Other minor issues;

Known issues

  • Synchronization operations are not performed properly for folders that are in a root of a drive;
  • On rare ocasions COSService.exe might crash during uploads or during login;
  • Concurrent copy operations to the mounted Cloud Drive might return source errors;
  • The upload operations starts very slow for sources that contain small files;
  • Slow browsing speed for mounted Cloud Drive;

welldone guys…

Whats the difference between 2 download links in the first post?

I can use the cloud site directly, right? So whats the benefit of installing Cloud?

I haven’t tried this before so sorry if any queries sounds stupid.

First link will contain the CCloud 2.1.5 version even if we release new versions of CCloud, while second link will always contain the latest released version.

Yes, you can. To view the list of features/benefits you can go to https://www.ccloud.com and scroll through the list on the left or right side of the Download button.

Thanks

Got it. Thanxx for the info.

Is it free forever?

The subscription shows end date 1 year?

My XP 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit systems seemed to get ■■■■■■■ up when Comodo Cloud appeared.

Comodo Online Storage was uninstalled with no warning. I installed Comodo Cloud v2.1.5 but it failed to work on either system.

XP - 32 bit: Seemed OK (drop zone & drive connected to storage) until I re-booted and then message appears with " Comodo Online Storage Service is not started".

Win 7 - 64 bit: Istalled but didn’t work. After re-boot I get message " Comodo Online Storage Service is not started".

N.B. On both systems “Comodo Online Storage Service” is on automatic and has started.

The subscription can be renewed for free each year.

Thanks

You can disable diagnostics in registry (using regedit) here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComodoGroup\Common\Settings . Set the “perform diagnostics” value key to “0”.
Please collect the debug logs so we can determine the cause of the issue and fix it in next release.

Thanks

5GB?

You get (25GB for loyal users) and 7GB for new user with Microsoft SkyDrive.

Unless you can explain why CCloud could be better?

iphone app, android app…shows up as a drive on your computer…etc etc…
