Problem: Backup failed with code 177. After this error occurs, it happens on each backup until you reboot. Suggesting maybe file handles are staying open?

I’ll stop testing and await feedback as I am experiencing lots of problems, and I guess I need feedback on whether the driver incompatibility, or the VSS error is causing some of them. If so maybe there is a problem with VSS or backup drivers on my machine, though other backup processes (Win7 backup, SQL server backup) work OK.
I note that the VSS errors are occurring at about the same time as I am testing CB, but that’s not conclusive of course.
RE VSS error. Just found that VSS service was not running though set to automatic. Had recently rebooted and had not stopped it, on rebooting again it started fine, so maybe some program, maybe CBU, had stopped it?
I’m not sure if I can send the .cbu log as my computer contains sensitive informations (the filename of the files that I tried to backup is sensitive too, the computer name is sensitive too)
I also had this issue with the previous stable version, drives are healthy
CB already has debug logging enabled, by default.
Or do you mean logging to file in Backup step 3?
CB doesn’t stop VSS service. CB needs it to perform backup of files that are locked.
We need the debug logs and dumps to analyze all the problems above.
I tried to use the mods username and password, but I get the error in the attached screenshot.
You can try to place them in CCloud and then PM me the download link after you share the files.
