Cleaner_Validator.exe

Hi:

Thanks for the follow-up.

You are correct. I am using Comodo System Cleaner. I have updated my sig
accordingly. Thanks for the clarification.

I must admit that I’m a little confused about why Comodo is placing CSC on
the CSU download site at this address:

http://www.comodo.com/home/support-maintenance/system-utilities.php

Also, what is the correct forum for posting on this issue? Everyone seems
to be posting here under CSU.

When you say that CSC has been removed/replaced, are you saying that
it is obsolete and no longer in development? Or do I have to go with
the CSU package to get this functionality? I am hesitant to download
and install another Comodo product until I’m clear on what’s happening.

Regards.

CSC is being replaced with CSU. its the same program with the same functionality but with major internal improvements.

In the beginning it was called comodo faster master but the users did not like the name so with the second beta they changed the name to comodo system utilities. CSU is still in beta but comodo has changed the name here on the forums and on their main site (comodo.com) this was my compaint aswell. They shouldnt have changed anything until the final release.

If you like CSC i would recommend you try CSU beta. i can tell a huge difference in the performance of my system and the program itself. CSU’s services run light on the system

Thanks. I may give that a shot.

Regards.

I downloaded the portable version too, but I can’t get it to work for me.
When I launch the program, no matter which section I select… it just
shows as “loading”. I let it run for several minutes, but it never finishes.

Maybe I’ll try it again when it’s out of beta.

Regards.

Wow! Not only did CSU portable not run… but it also created a restore
point each time I restarted it!

It’s now in the recycle bin, never to be heard from again.

Thank god I’ve got CCleaner to delete those restore points.

Regards.
