CIS on Windows 11 keeps blocking Task Manager

“So maybe something has changed in the Windows 11 Task Manager”, and a lot has changed there.

I am using Windows 11 Pro 25H2 no issues

Please see the beginning of this post - CIS on Windows 11 keeps blocking Task Manager - #140 by ComodoUser2025

I kinda expect software developers to take into account any changes in how OS works. Windows 11 came out in 2021.

" Я бы хотел, чтобы разработчики программного обеспечения учитывали любые изменения в работе операционной системы. Windows 11," я полностью с вами согласен.

Не совсем точный перевод, но ОК.

My translator does not work so someone translate it in English.

Windows 11 24H2 (26100.7623) x64
CIS Premium 2025 12.3.4.8162
COMODO Firewall only component installed
HIPS set to Safe Mode
Auto-Containment set to Disabled

Encountering this as well.
I constantly have Taskmgr running and viewable.
The “Unblock Applications” Task gets repeatedly refreshed with Taskmgr.exe blocks by HIPS.

“You need to allow taskmgr in Interprocess Memory Access” - Doesn’t resolve.
“Trusted” in the File Ratings list” - Doesn’t resolve.
“exclusion to Shell Code Injections under Miscellaneous settings” - Doesn’t resolve.

“The workaround I found is adding TM to Windows System Apps group” - Resolves!

@N1ck Did you get any response from support? Were they able to resolve the issue for you?

Nope, never received any further contact.

Were you able to upload your logs?

As I was never reached out through private message, I had no one and no where to upload any log.

I thought they reached out to you. Oh well, I guess they don’t really care about this issue or their customers.

Or by adding Task Manager to the Exclusions of Inter process memmory access of Protection settings of the rule for Comodo Internet Security 2025 under HIPS rules. See image. This an ancient trick.
