CIS 2025 is now LIVE!

Hello, everything is OK now.
I would like to know why it takes so long to update?
And if this web filter only works for which browsers?
I am using VIVALDI.

On June 2nd, Whoop-dee-doo stated that auto updates from old CIS to CIS 2025 would be implemented reasonably soon. Can someone from Comodo please provide a revised ETA for this? I’m following Cruelsister’s advice and waiting for this for my production machine.

The company that issues certificates has not been able to issue one for its product for the second month (

It’s a guess, but possible. Remember, the forum here was once “hacked” (Comodo claimed it was misconfigured). Some users (myself included) were given moderation rights. I am afraid those responsible for that might have also hacked or hijacked CIS files/binaries. That’s the worst-case scenario for an IT software security provider/developer, and they would never admit such a case. But keep in mind, “officially,” it is just about a certificate… So either I am right with my guess, or the developers have totally become incompetent and can’t even provide a properly signed/configured certificate.

Hi DefaultUsername,

There is no hacked or hijacked cis files/biaries.
As ilgaz said - We didn’t revoke the certificate ourselves, but our Certificate Authority revoked the certificate by mistake.
The team is working on it.
Kindly support us.

Thanks

They can’t fix it for the second month.

I have and always will (just look up my email address I use here and check it in your system). But you can imagine the frustration here; we had to wait almost 3 years for the CIS update, and now this new issue persists. Two months have almost passed. Please don’t address this issue like you did with the CIS update, Comodo.

I agree with you, it is taking too long to correct the certificate.
This is making me discouraged with COMODO

I believe that Comodo should be seen as a high-quality, high-potential craft business, rather than a factory.

As with all good craftsmen, you need to have the patience to ensure that the product is made according to the rules of the art…

What does this cost us is our insecurity with the product that has a revoked certificate.

It’s actually been five and a half weeks, not almost two months. It’s bad enough that it’s taken them this long. There’s no need to exaggerate.

There is also very likely to be strong competition in the sector, and perhaps we can ask ourselves whether an intermediary is trying to harm Comodo by slowing down the certificate issuing process?
(I’m just wondering, I’m not saying that’s the case).

They had a new certificate just a few days after their last one was revoked. They’ve used it on their new Comodo cleanup utility and Comodo Dragon releases. Getting a new certificate is not the problem. They won’t say what the problem is, but the fact that they haven’t even re-signed the current version so new users downloading it can use it is inexcusable.

Not finding any info, I wanted to see what Virustotal had to say about Comodo CIS. Apart from mentioning that the certificate has expired…

Does anyone know what this means on virustotal.com?
(Details)

Does this mean that the software was developed half in Russian and half in Ukrainian?

Economical, but very risky at the moment…

Second question: Does anyone know whether the same product from Xcitium also has a revoked certificate?

Also interesting; maybe an old problem resurfaced: Comodo hacked by Russian hackers - Google Search . By the way, the incident I mentioned regarding the forum was hacked here once; it was somehow related to Yandex (the Russian version of Google that cooperates with the FSB/GRU).
