@ Comodo staff, please be honest. Even the best, like Cyber Command/NSA, have been hacked/penetrated. I don’t believe anymore that it is just a certificate issue, but I still hope I am wrong with that… hope dies with realization.
It all comes down to the same thing: hope springs eternal! ![]()
I think the same problem must be present in paid products, according to this topic on the XCITIUM forum
https://forum.xcitium.com/t/dead-certificates-impeding-client-work/18666
Thank’s New Style xd !
Cant you all just wait you know you shouldnt judge someone before you get to know them cant you just be patience if you are not it will take more and more time for the certificate to resolve it
That sounds like Marlon Brando!

When will the certificate for the CIS be ready? It’s a disgrace, it’s taking so long to solve this problem.
It makes you wonder if they really want to solve the problem
By remaining inactive for a long time, you are damaging your reputation.
You have been unable to synchronize in Comodo Dragon for almost a year since I posted my question.
Comodo, what happened to you?
He was captured by aliens…
Where can I find this feature ?
I don´t see it !
Hello,
I installed the latest version of CIS 2025, as linked on the forum, over the previous latest version release 12.2 (prior to the 2025 versions), without uninstalling.
Upon opening CIS 2025, the previous configuration was not present, so I imported it from a previously saved file and restarted the PC as required.
The issue is that the cmdagent.exe process has been running since then, but the UI doesn’t show up.
I managed to launch the diagnostic tool, and it created the report file because ‘it detected but cannot correct errors automatically.’
I attach it below for bugfixing:
CisReport_x64_v12.3.3.8152_20241112-120200.zip (64.2 KB)
I also noticed when the interface had started up after installing the 2025 version and also in previous attempts in the BETA that the section to manage HIPS is missing in the right click context menu on the widget or icon, as it is instead found in the old stable version 12.2.
Hello,
Report indicates faulty Comodo link
CIS cannot fix server remotely
Comodo technical support should intervene
It’s a Light [Dark] Theme bug. Select another one.
I had actually noticed its absence with other themes as well, but now that I have tried it for several times I have realized that it appears if you have HIPS enabled from the settings.
After hours of trying and cherry picking in the configuration file…
For those who had the problem I described in my previous post, that is, it does not start the UI at PC startup nor via shortcut on Desktop or start menu but there is the process working:
- Try starting the UI by directly starting cis.exe
If the UI shows but neither the icon in the taskbar nor the widget maybe it is, as it happened to me, a problem with the imported configuration file.
In fact by restoring one of the preset configurations the widget reappears.
I think it depends on some lines that are no longer current/replicable in the new CIS version such as:
TaskbarPositions="twUnblockApp|3||twGenTaskManager|4||twGetLiveSupport|7|||lnkCompQuarantine|6||lnkCompUpdate|2||lnkRunVirtualKiosk|5||twGenScan|1”
No, it’s a Light [Dark] Theme bug only. Other themes display the tray menu correctly regardless of HIPS status.
Can anyone disable the option to trust publisher certificates in Comod CIS 2025 (latest version) please?
To see if you get the same result as me?
For me everything freezes and the PC is unusable, because Comodo CIS doesn’t trust Comodo products and therefore doesn’t trust itself! (So it blocks everything!)
Warning: On my PC, you have to uninstall it to solve the problem…
I was building a new system last weekend and I think I encountered the same issue.
My custom setup for the past decade or longer has been to set HIPS/Firewall into “Safe Mode” where it trusts certificates in the Vendor List and prompts for all other programs. Then I remove all certificates aside from Comodo and (most)Microsoft certificates so that most programs cause prompts but not OS components.
I uncheck “Rate applications according to their vendor rating” because in the past, CIS would remake the vendor list from an online source. I uncheck “Trust files installed by trusted installers” because I don’t want rules automatically created just because I allowed the installer.
This worked great for a very long time… but for the new system using CIS 2025, as soon as I applied the settings, CIS became unresponsive. I had to use the Comodo uninstaller in safe mode to undo things. After 4 attempts/uninstalls, I went back to 12.2.2 and things work as I expect them to.
This might be of some interest to Comodo that the issue of the CIS UI no longer working when “Rate applications according to their vendor rating” is unchecked doesn’t apply to 12.3.3.8140. This seems like a regression for .8152.
Thanks a lot for your help guys…
But, I don’t think Comodo cares at all anymore that its Comodo CIS Pro Product doesn’t work.
They missed the release of version 2025, none of the announced bugs have been fixed, weeks and weeks to wait for the simple correction of a certificate problem, functions that crash the software, even the PC… and in response “if you’re not happy with your current new Chevrolet, use your grandfather’s and you’ll be very happy with it!”
Who would dare to do that?
And you’ll notice that I’ve been one of the most patient and have repeatedly encouraged everyone else to be so, at my expense. So much so, in fact, that people thought I worked at Comodo!
Why did I change my tone? Because I was hit by a harmful Lazagne-type attack and Comodo CIS Pro couldn’t do anything about it! I’ve been hacked and had credentials stolen from my own PC where Comodo CIS Pro was installed!
Will 2024 be the year I stop advertising Comodo left and right?
Maybe not, but they really need to look after their CIS product and their customers, and put CIS Pro through real tests on AV-test and AV-Comparatives, Virus Bulletin and PCMag (without coming up with lame excuses).
On the other hand, if there had been real control of Internet sites and IPs visited by the Comodo firewall, I wouldn’t have been infected.
As a test, I restored the backup from the day before the attack, and instead of Comodo I installed Bitdefender alone, then did the same thing again with Webroot alone, then ESET alone, then Malwarebytes + Glasswire. All three solutions discovered that my PC was infected and that Firefox presented an infected page in an open tab that led to the infection.
So, if the Internet links were controlled by Comodo, I would never have had a successful infection. And if Comodo had a virus base worthy of the name, I’d never have been infected either.
So, as for the “No need for an antivirus base since Comodo CIS Pro is there to block everything” claim, which I’ve been foolishly parroting, sorry, I’ll leave that to the Comodo marketing team!
Long gone are the days when I used to troubleshoot other people’s computers, ridding them of residual viruses not found by other antivirus programs, thanks to Comodo CIS Pro.
I really hope that 2026 will be a better year, and that I’ll be able, alas, to return to the Comodo CIS we knew and loved in the past.
Just a wish…
