Newcomers can’t be secure because can’t install latest build of Comodo due to a revoked certificate, only previous 12.2.2.8012.

So uhh, what’s the thing with certificate being revoked?
I see the Premium installer hasn’t been updated, is the issue still present?
Or as I read from the russian posters, the issue is on Microsoft’s side? Something about keeping the certificate revoked until 24H2 is released to the public? Is it time for conspiracy theories?

Hello, for those who have Windows 10, do you know what the Russian forums are saying about the revocation of COMODO?
Because if we have to wait for version 24H2 to come out, those who have Windows 10 will be completely harmed by this whole wait.

My guess is that it’ll likely be early next week at the start of the month.
No record found in the Russian forums your referencing, that’s misinformation unless you can provide a link or detailed information. Spreading misinformation is against forum policy.
You’re still protected even with the certificate issue and version .8012 is still 100% viable with a valid certificate.

Exactly that, that’s why I asked @Emerald about the Russian forum.
If @Emerald has any real evidence please post the link, it would be good for us to check it out.

It was actually on this forum, some posts under english threads. One russian said something about Microsoft messing something up and the certificates being revoked until 24H2 update brings a fix to it. Idk from where the russian poster got the info though. Wait and see. Either way 24H2 public release isn’t far.

That post only mentioned theoretical resolution of 24H2 being release but that’s not the case. It has nothing to do with the Windows OS version 10 or 11. The Certificate Authority that issued Comodo’s Certificate made an error and they are re-issuing the certificate which takes time. Given that it’s the 1st of the month early next week, I’m presuming the fix will be pushed at that point.

It’s been 15 days and I haven’t seen the WEB FILTER DATABASE update being updated. The latest version is 71219, it’s been more than 15 days. What’s happening? It’s crashed, is there a bug? Or is there no update?

I was wrong. My Content Filter was disabled. When I turned it on and ran the update again, the database was updated and became 71219 instead of 41.
So need to remember this nuance.

Why do you use website filtering? The protection it offers is inadequate, only compatible with Firefox (uncertain about HTTPS websites), and incompatible with Chrome and its clones. The broken state of website filtering renders it useless for purposes such as adblocking or website blocking. Don’t repeat bugs or feedback; save your time: Comodo only fixes issues on their own terms.
