Thanks. That should be the case that you don’t see any logs and it might be a UI bug. It may also be because you don’t have a Trusted Network in your Global Rules. At the end of the day, if it’s running fine despite 1000s of log entries, it’s at last protecting you as it should. Do you have blocks for any other programs?
Yes the firewall is very tight and that’s of course very good.
I had over 150 custom rule settings for various applications in manual configuration and I loaded the settings from previous versions of CIS. Maybe that was the problem. Now I just did a little tidying up and put the svchost at the very beginning and the problem stopped with saving to the history. So it’s ok for now.
However, I see that due to the installation and old settings made in Polish, now after switching to English, not everything is translated correctly in CIS. But maybe that’s normal.
Thank you for the link, of course I will visit and read it.
Thank you very much for all your interest and help.
Glad to see the new CIS released finally. I’ve been casually following this thread. I need to know if CIS 2025 will filter TUN driver/adapter traffic? I cannot use my VPN’s more advanced protocol without it. Still using build 8012 and TAP adapter for now.
Will be interesting to see. The web filtering only works with Firefox so maybe it’ll be a depreciated feature and the browser extension hasn’t been updated since October 15, 2020.
Installed Comodo Firewall 12.3.3.8140 on freshly installed Windows 11, 22631.3880. Comodo installed without issues, nothing blew up. Windows does not complain about anything either. No abnormalities at all.
The years old Comodo Firewall I had previously on Win10 didn’t like anything that installs network adapters, for e.g. NetBalancer, Genymotion. But this new version allows them all without issues.
Whatever the case, CIS protects you from all sides so the focus is back towards full protection without all the unnecessary extras. I’m glad that Comodo Dragon is still around but it’ll be interesting to see if MV3 affects it at all later this year.
