BSODs Please add your minidump files here

I just installed comodo yesterday. Since then, I have had 2 BSODs, one overnight and one while playing half-life 2. I do use utorrent and I noticed that some others suspected that as an issue.

Specs:
P4 2.8 Ghz
ASUS P4P-800 Deluxe mobo
integrated 3Com Gigabit LOM (3C940)
2 GB RAM

I attached the dumps from both crashes. I’ll try some of the other fixes on this forum and see if they work.

Well it’s been about a month since I installed the patch and haven’t had any BSODs…

Thanks (R)

i have a attached the dump files
i’m using comodo 2.4.18.184
i’m using win xp sp2, intel core 2 duo E4400 @ 2.00 GHz, DDR2 1024MB single channel, Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC {PCI Slot 7 (PCI bus 3, device 0, function 0)}…
Should I disable CFP at this time?
Thanks for your help!

I get a BSOD once or twice a month, often at night when I’m asleep.

0x0000000A (0x00000016, 0x0000001C, 0x00000000, 0x805024BA)
Windbg on the dump tells me cmdmon.sys (cmdmon+7299) is the probable cause.

Had the silent BSOD several times–finally had to restore my disk…chkdsk /f after spontaneous reboot threw out files related to Spysweeper and Norton AV 2007 (all tmp files). Finally removed Comodo to resolve the problem. Did not have this problem until I installed the most recent version of CPF. Not even clear if I need CPF with Norton AV 2007.

Hope you can resolve this issue.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 (legit!)
CPU: Pentium 4, 3.4 EE (SL7CH)
Ram: 1024 mb
CPF: 2.4.18.184
NIC: ASUS P4C-800E built-in Intel PRO/1000 CT

inspect.sys BSODs started just about a week ago or so.

Edit #1: I’d add that it only seems to occur when I am downloading torrents! (Azureus as BT client)

Edit #2: Experimenting, it only occurs if I am running multiple torrents. If I only run a single torrent, no BSODs appear! Hope this helps, I like this product, and would hate to have to switch because of BSODs.

Dear Pandlouk:

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 Desktop crashing with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0x0000000a). WinDbg reports (after analyzing the Minidump) that the module at fault is ‘cmdmon.sys ( cmdmon+7e2 )’, which is part of Comodo.

I removed SPTD (SCSI Pass Through Direct) using DuplexSecure’s SPTD Installer/Uninstaller. SPTD was installed with Daemon Tools. The crashing stopped for about six hours, but it now crashes again. Cmdmon.sys was reported to be at fault before and after I removed SPTD.

CFP = 2.4.18.184

OS = Windows XP Professional SP 2 (5.1.2600)
CPU = Intel Pentium 4 1.8 GHz (x86 Family 15 Model 1 Stepping 2)
RAM = 512 MB RDRAM PC800
NIC = CNet PRO200WL PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter

Thank you for your help with this matter.

Sincerely,

SplashingR

hello,

getting BSOD’s. the blue screens shows something like “Driver IRQL not less or Equal” and it also mentions “Inspect.sys”.

My Config

Core 2 Duo E6300
Intel Original Motheboard DG965SS
SONY DVD RW AW-Q170A
512 * 2 DDR2 533 Mhz
Seagate ST3160811AS 160 GB SATA HDD
Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Connection
Windows XP SP2
Comodo Firewall Pro 2.4.18.184

All are latest drivers from Intel website.

BSOD has occurred about 5-6 times, all when utorrent is downloading with 700 connections. this started happening after i had formatted and reinstalled a different copy of XP SP2. it was perfectly ok with the earlier copy.

thanks,
pvp

Hey.

I’ve been getting a BSOD (IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL) randomly when playing an online game (Maplestory).

Arg1: 00000016
Arg2: 0000001c
Arg3: 00000000
Arg4: 804e1745

I’ve done a run a dump analyzer and it seems to be coming from cmdmon.sys.

I’ve attached the minidump, but I also have a zip of the full 512MB memory dump on request.

Comodo Firewall: v. 2.4.18.184
OS: Windows XP Professional SP2
Processor: 2 Pentium III 650 MHz

I am running AVG Free Anti-virus.

Hi, just can’t use this- a firewall that starts up disabled after a crash 88) after a restart, and gives a BSOD so easily is going to be a problem.

I uninstalled ZoneAlarm and restarted. Shut down AVG and other programs, installed Comodo 2.4 (latest).

Restarted, logged on, responded to various Comodo alerts as programs were launched- then BSOD.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

Ok, restart. This time 3 warnings one on top of another- all components off. ‘Reinstalling may help’.
Hmm.

Noted a runtime error C++ - a pure virtual call I think - at the end of shutdown.

I uninstalled it in Safe Mode.

XP Pro SP2, IE6 SP1, with utorrent and veoh P2P clients, Spampal, Onspeed accelerator service (needed where I am), AVG, Google Desktop Search.

I guess others have better luck- I had no crashes trying Agnitum Outpost, but for a long time it took a lot of CPU time until it completed all its scanning, I guess.

I remember I tried V1 and had crashes then.

Maybe it’s a bit delicate and needs nursemaiding more in installation, or maybe it just doesn’t ‘like’ one of my applications.
