Hello Everybody,

it seems my first attempt at posting in this forum did not work. Therefore a second attempt. I hope this will not cause a double.
I intermittently get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL stop error.
OS: Win XP pro, all patches up to date.
Minidump file is attached. I hope this helps. All the best,

Hammer

I wonder if anyone will download these files :P.

Anyway, Microsoft released a patch for some BSODs, maybe you should give it a try:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929338

Well, didn’t get any answer or solutions forBSOD yet, so I must uninstall CPF ans install another firewall until the problems are solved. Maybe I’ll wait for the version 3.

Thank you all.

I’m sorry but is the BSoD problem solved yet?

No news of it yet, siege. :-. Apparently, they are focused on v3. If lucky it will be resolved at the same time when the beta rolls out the red carpet.

Comodo : 2.4.18.184
OS : Windows XP + Active Virus Shield
NIC : SMC 9432TX + Nvidia Nforce4 AMD (Latest Nvidia Driver)

After install and reboot, comodo start to ask which process to allow to access internet. When I say allow to nfsclint.exe (from Microsoft Service for Unix 3.5). Caused a BAD POOL HEADER error and BSOD.

Firewall is ok on windows 2003

Got it, conflict with Service for Unix 3.5. Cause error in rpcxdr.sys.

Has anyone applied this and installed CPF again?
I installed the patch anyway, but would rather not install CPF again until it’s verified.

I have this patch installed, and still got BSOD, as just posted above.

Going out of standby, I get DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL:

STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000081, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8A57ECA0)

Funnily enough, Microsoft describes this at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873152 as a potential problem with Sygate Personal Firewall. I’ve actually been using SPF until a few days ago, when I decided to replace it with Comodo. Never got this BSOD with SPF, but getting it now on almost all resumes.

Edit: Actually, it looks like it’s not CPF’s fault, but AMD’s dual core optimiser, which I installed at about the same time. I will test a bit further to make sure, but if I can resume, I will try to install CPF again.

I installed it a few days ago and (touch wood) haven’t had any BSODs since…

Random BSOD on two completely different machines , an AMD 1000 mhz processor and a Pentium IV 1,7 mhz one.

I attached the dump of Pentium IV machine.

Computer Specs:

BSoD while printing to a network printer from Firefox 2.0.0.3.

Dell Inspiron 9300
2x 1GB Corsair Value Select DDR2 PC-4200 SODIMM
Windows XP Pro SP2 (fully patched)
Broadcom 440x 10/100 (latest driver)
Comodo Firewall Pro (2.4.18.184)
avast! 4 (4.7.1001)

WinDbg says it’s probably due to the avast! 4 aswTdi.sys and I’ve been going through it on their forums but he said in the mean time I should try to ask you as the cmdmon.sys “driver is higher on the stack and the request is most probably created by them”.

Any info you can give is appreciated.

Edit: Are we supposed to get any response from Comodo for submitting these MiniDump’s?? I don’t want to have to uninstall it but I will if it can’t be fixed or I get no response.
