I thought you were a strong and avid promoter of the comodo antivirus.lol.
for all systems…v8 release is very stable so far…only 1 issue reported by one single person and so far works well on win8c :-TU
Sure. But I like to test new AV’s as well. I have few systems now not one. My original favorite system has CIS
I see. Thanks. Good! :-TU
And for the first time it’s almost perfect security software. It’s have new, modern UI, I saw a few test and it is blocking almost every threat and most important thing: I am using avast internet security 8 and is have 3 process and together they using less then 6 mb. Shock. With all respect to Comodo Internet Security - CIS have hard work to do with memory usage. Avast is lighter then any antivirus on earth. Bravo!!! :-TU
There Evo-Gen Picks up alot of samples missed by the definitions. I say that is awesome.
yes, but now they must improve their whitelist, cause the good Evo-Gen produces some FP´s too.
About perfect I’m not so sure as a whole internet security. But it is a very good AV now. It is low on RAM but what about protection? I still need to see ‘improved sandbox’ in action and many other things. And as we know all by now it don’t matter how perfect your AV is… It can’t protect you fully. And once again one thing is to protect 32-Bit system another is 64-Bit. Comodo is leading all the way in 64-Bit protection compared to Avast. Avast still has a very long way to go… < My personal opinion
Just a few … And it’s not about “whitelist” … Also, they fix FPs VERY fast … Program submission or online or e mail submission.
like i said above
what then? they must care that it is not on the blacklist and that the heuristics and generics not detect it anymore, so they must do the file on a “whitelist”.
sure, thats good
Ive seen several of your fanboy rants over at the avast forum and you hardly do yourself any justice by humiliating yourself lkie that.
The new avast is a far superior antivirus to the comodo one despite your ridiculous claims over at their forum.
It has impressed me so much that i have decided to run it as my av and it is as light as a feather and detection is superb. ;D ;D
I did not say that Avast! is perfect. I did say that is almost perfect. This is a difference. There is no such a thing like perfect security software. There is no 100% protection AV. But new Avast! is one of the best antivirus for sure and Avast! Internet Security is smooth, light, friendly and harmless. Very good security software. :-TU
Calling of names again? LOL! You are funny! Can you read at all? I said that Avast is a very good AV. But don’t go and say that it is superior than Comodo AV. You can’t back it up. And I never said anything about this. It’s your opinion. And I said it was my opinion so uneducated people like you in the computer security don’t humiliate themselves. When you will learn basic facts? Seriously…
Almost or perfect. I’m not so sure for the whole overall internet security protection which Avast can provide today. Sure you can use it for ages and never get infected but there is still a risk factor that one day you will get something that Avast can’t detect/deal with.
Seany007 avast’s AV is really superior than CAV …
I have been testing it for 1 month and I’d say 95 % of the undetected samples on a real malware pack are detected by Evo-Gen and the rest are autosandboxed or detected as FileRepMalware.
So far, I had about 30 autosandbox detections …
Autosandbox will be improved in a few months with new toy in the backend …
Saying that Avast needs improvements without testing is not a reliable comment.
What is superior? And once again it’s your opinion. You can’t justify it with your limited tests. Saying that Avast is better is unreliable comment. I’m fully aware what Avast AV is capable of…
Drop the personal attacks please and focus on the issue, thanks.
its right, personal attacks are always bad. But a lil bit i can understand. cause @Seany007 sometimes his comments have a “CIS Fanboy touch”. Cause, right now Seany007 said CIS is more superior than Avast 8 and avast needs still improvement to come there where CIS already is. but the true is, we dont know. we can look on the architecture default deny (CIS) vs. still default allow (Avast 8), then i would say, yes Seany007, u r right. But on the other side, i saw no holes in Avast 8 till now. Avast 8 makes a really good (superior) job!
And we know 100% protection we can not get. CIS have some weaks and Avast too. Only with a big test, with many different malware, and both Softwares get the same Test-Base, then we could get a view how good they both are right now or which one is really more superior.
But right now @Seany007, to say CIS is more superior have no proof, like to say Avast is more superior too.
avast! 8 final has been out since 28 feb.
Maybe a new thread is required now
What part in kail’s post was not understood? We don’t allow calling names or other personal attacks.
