Can you block websites with Comodo ?
It’s good to know that. Thanks very much.
Thank you all for your advice - Clean Mode it is!
So far I have not found a single issue with RC1 - I think this will become my permanent firewall once the final is released.

CPF beta 3.10 custom, D+ learn-safe.
This was quick. (L)
Short question: is it safe to import config and safe-files from 3.10? I’ve already imported 3.09 into 3.10, and I got the feeling to miss some new predefined settings.
Thanks,
EDIT: OK! Ignore my previous question; 3.11 imported silently all previous settings.
Great job!
I had CFP 3.0.9.229 installed before. After removing one of my Scratch hard drives, Comodo told me that the program (which was still on the C drive like before) should be on the G drive (not right), and asked me if I’d like to repair. I hit ok, and it said unable to repair. So, I attempted to uninstall from the control panel. It didn’t “actually” uninstall. The uninstaller is no longer in the cntrl panel. The software was still running on every startup. I attempted to run the installer from safe mode, to uninstall it, no luck… in normal, and safe mode, the CPF installer tells me that comodo is already installed and asks if I’d like to uninstall it. I hit yes, and nothing happens. The installer for the new version does the same thing…tells me that the new version is already on there. Any ideas how to get all the files off of my PC? I saw a similar post…do I make a shortcut to the installer and put a “-u” at the end? If so, I’ll try it after re-imaging my HD from yesterday’s backup since I ■■■■■■■ my PC today. (I ran a .bat file to remove the registries…it was from a different version on the forum but i just edited the version path, and it uninstalled every bit of software I own). My own fault tho. I’d just like to know if anybody has seen this “-u” method work, or if that was just for the CONFIG program in the install directory? Thanks in advance for any info! And sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, if so I’ll put it in another section. (J)
A quick question :).
You say that “Clean PC Mode” offers the same strength as “Train with Safe Mode”. Just wondering why you would have “Train with Safe Mode”? Is it simply so you know what is going on with your system? (via prompts/alerts). I’m going to switch to “Clean PC Mode” now.
Keep up the great work ;D.
“Train with Safe Mode” is useful if you think your PC is infected with something before installing CFP 3. I believe it will possibly be deprecated in the future releases.

Windows Vista Business 32-bit user. It fails DX AND LowLevel tests here. NOTE THAT FOR LOWLEVEL TEST TO FAIL ONE MUST CONFIRM D+ HOOK ALERT.
Answered Here
If you allow the hook alert then you are letting the program do its thing. You need to block that alert so it can’t do its thing, if you know what I mean

Hello,
Just a BSOD telling me “DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL” when running wizard during installation. Second try and the same thing happens.
Reboot and Windows ask me to install “Comodo Firewall Miniport Driver”. Device Manager show me some Comodo itens bellow Network adapters, including miniport driver and comodo miniport for each interface on my machine. No one is properly configured so I disabled all.
My system is a Windows XP 64. The most latest service packs and hotfixes installed.
Add or remove programas doesn’t show an option to remove Comodo. Is there a clean-up tool or a procedure to revert everything done by installation?
Thanks and hope this help make a better Comodo,
Alex
Can you send us a minidump generated by the crash?
Thx,
Egemen

Will Comodo V3 support Win2k/Win2003 in the future ?
Yes Comodo does plan to support 2003 server with CFP 3, however I do not believeand there are plans to support win2000 Edit: see Melih’s Post above (this will make alot of people happy)
May we use Comodo products on Bussiness Machines ?
Yes, the Comodo “Free for life” policy applies to Businesses as well.
hope this helps
OD
Yes, I’m 99% sure it will, so don’t worry about that

OK, but I need to reinstall it again because dump file generation was not enabled in Control Panel when I install Comodo.
Better to clean-up the previous installation before? I’m not succeeding to remove the Comodo Network adapters I have mentioned in my previous post. Device Manager tell me:
“Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer”.
Also, there is some files in the install dir:
C:\Program Files\Comodo\Firewall>dir
Volume in drive C is WinXP64
Volume Serial Number is 10C7-FCC1

This RC1 is Great News!
Downloading now on a fresh install. I believe (but unsure and untestable now) that CFP “MAY” have buggered the validity of my Vista install last beta. I had reinstalled on Oct 26 and Vista activated properly, installed last CFP beta 2 days later and immediately had issues. 2 days ago I opened System Properties and was shocked to see I had 1 DAY to Activate and my key was not accepted!
Looking thru all Event Viewer files I noticed that the validation went sour the same day I had issues with CFP…possible coincidence, possibly not…unknown really but it’s odd.
Short story, I had less than 3 hours to ensure I had all my stuff backed up before the Reduced Functionality mode kicked in so I didn’t have time to test any further, and since MS Support was unavailable till tomorrow, I had to reinstall or lose stuff. The 30 days before activation was somehow cut to less than 3 weeks there.
That was posted for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY and in case someone else had a similar issue as possible corraboration.
I hope the GUI @ 120DPI issue is fixed, I’m sure it is and I’ll find out soon. May all be for naught anyway as I install a new MoBo tomorrow and I know Vista activation will ■■■■ that back at me…and the HAL may decide to stop functioning (as it’s been known to do with MB changes), but I have some time to play with RC1 so away we go!!!
Thx Melih & crew!
