Adblocker from Comodo - Windows, IOS and Android

Hi yigido

We’re releasing two for exactly this reason, some people prefer different types.

based on uBlock Origin.

Great news :-TU I hope you can keep this updated paralleled with the main version.

Installed fine on Chromium 47 but unable to install on Firefox 43 (see screenshot). Thanks for making this extension/addon available for Linux users :-TU.

[at]Graham1,
for install this we need to disable checking signature on .xpi (add ons)
go to about:config and write xpinstall.signatures.required and set it to false

and try again to add Comodo Adblocker. :-TU
(Note: Mozilla is thinking to remove this config setting.)

Hi ghostza,

The FireFox plug-in is in review. Once the review is completed the plug-in will be signed.

Hi yigido

Toggled this setting which allowed me to install Comodo AdBlocker but unfortunately, icon doesn’t show up in the toolbar (see screenshot). Enabled “Show in tool&bar” but doesn’t seem to hold setting :(.

Hi Graham1,

Actually, I am using uBlock Origin but I installed this time for test.
It appears on my Firefox 44 Beta on Windows 10.

Hi yigido

Maybe I’ll wait for Firefox 44 and hopefully by then, Comodo may have signed this addon. Thanks.

Reviewing the add-ons on AMO takes some time… so we need to wait Mozilla to review the add-on. After that we will install it without a problem. But missed icon problem is related with add-on in my opinion, maybe a bug.

Thanks I’ll wait for it.

AdBlocker for Android is for browsers only or blocks ads on apps, etc… too?

It uses VPN and VPN is for every apps.

Why this is in general discussion?
Would be good on the main page with its own segment like other Comodo products.

It is based on ABP & ABP mention has to manually config proxy.
Comodo AB does it automatically or has to manually config proxy?

UPDATE -
Ok, I tried ABP for Android & Comodo. And what I understand about both is that-
Comodo uses local VPN & blocks ads on all i.e wifi, cellular, etc, right?
ABP uses proxy & blocks ads only on wifi (as per ABP faq), right?

Help guys…

I can not find the version of Chrome … Where is it? I deleted by mistake…

Is this it? Comodo AdBlocker - Chrome Web Store

Yeah i found it today… Yesterday i was looking for it but not found it… Anyway thank you very much for your help… Regards…!!!

Trialing the Android Version, so far so good!

Out of curiosity, will AdSense still be part of CD or Chromodo or will this eventually replace those?

Looking forward to ad-free browsing on my mobile

UPDATE: It also appears to block ads in apps on android! :-TU :viva:

Yes, this is normal. Comodo AdBlocker uses local VPN which will filter all your traffic. So you cannot see any pieceof ad on anywhere on your phone. Apps, browsers, games :-TU This is why it is superb :-TU

I just want to see that we can import some localization filters. Accept this as wish 88)
