Zemana Antilogger Giveaway Tommorow

My point here… Windows 8 has issues on it’s own… Zemana itself still have some bugs even after Windows 8 upgrade (other OS as well) that’s what users report… Plus you add CIS 6 into the mix which is a new product on it’s own… On top of that each user have system issues in one way or another, different security protection. Plus we have to rely on ‘their test’.

I think it’s a x64 / x86 problem. On the website they say the paid version is 64bit but it’s not fully supported. I can confirm the test in failed on Win7/8 x64. It’s doesn’t speak well of a company to make untrue claims to sell more software. For 32bit users it does fully protect.

That’s true. Yeah I know. Still all of us have different results that’s what is confusing. I use 64-Bit and it works and blocks as it should be. Well that’s a case with many today not just Zemana. At the end of the day you don’t need Zemana if you use HIPS/application control anyway.

Just to confuse matters a little more :o
W8 x64 Zemana free passes their test
W7 x64 Zemana free passes their test

treefrogs you are always confused, that is why your a treefrog :SMLR

It is starting to go that way, as you say

Yeah true, but what about the free paid version, for both W8 x64/32/ W7 x64/32

I’m talking about that giveaway.

lol ;D
told ya I was confused

!ot!

Been a long day…
time for some ZZZ’s

nyt all :azn:

see ya and remember I give out banta and not bad things

Sorry for reviving this thread but I have a few questions about the paid version.

  1. Is there still a problem with Zemana AntiLogger for Windows 8 64-bit?

  2. Do you recommend it?

  3. Does it work well with CIS?

  4. Is it worth paying for?

I’m thinking about getting it but after reading this thread I feel more and more unsure about that.

  1. Yes

  2. If you can get during a giveaway which seems to be often. It’s capabilities are limited on 64 bit, and especially Windows 8 64 bit (from my testing). On a x86 I would say yes. On x64 SpyShelter is far superior.

  3. yes

  4. debatable

Gaah stupid me, I forgot to ask my major question: Is the Zemana Antilogger a one time payment or is it yearly? If it’s one time, does it allow updating to newer versions? (if it’s yearly I assume that this is allowed)

Thanks for your answers, they are appreciated. I will try the free version but now I don’t know which one to try, does the 15 day trail have all the capabilities of the full AntiLogger? I’d assume it’s better to try this than the free version with no time-limit? Again, thank you. =)

It’s yearly and updates included within the year. Never tried the free. I got my paid (free) version which started this thread. I would actually continue my subscription when it runs out on in 333 days if they would just make it fully function on x64.

They got to then to make it right of they just lost a customer. ;D

I just tried to 15-day trial version and… well, I see what you mean by having problems on 64bit OS. I tried it with SpyShelter’s Antitest and it didn’t even alert or anything (checked settings to not allow anything by default) and the encryption didn’t work either.

Encryption is the thing I am most interested in to be honest, I will check if that is available in the free (no time limit version) version. If not, then do you perhaps know any better software for this purpose?

And yes I do know that CIS is plenty to keep me secured but I am doubting myself more than CIS, I am certain that I could in error allow something to log keys and hence it would be nice with encryption.

Thanks for your responses! =)

Edit: is there any installer for a 64-bit version? I can only find for 32bit version. Wouldn’t a 64-bit version be able to provide better security on 64-bit OS?

Edit 2: O hey, the free version has a working encryption module. =) (And the UI is in my opinion better than the 15-day free trial version! ??? Whaaat? What happened here?)

  1. Officially not anymore from what I know but you can still find some strange instability even in Win7 64-Bit. See (http://www.zemana.com/WhatsNew.aspx?ProductID=1) for the changes.

  2. Yes and no. Dep if you are using any other HIPS.

  3. It does. But Comodo HIPS (if you have them on) take over first in this case. Zemana will only act last apart from webcam access and few other options.

  4. No if you are using any other HIPS. The only good thing it does provide what CIS don’t is SSL anti-logger protection but I can’t say for sure that it works. You can’t even test it from what I know! So you will only pay for SSL anti-logger and webcam access protection if you are using CIS. But I found a bug in their webcam protection few days ago. So because of that I can’t say I recommend it.

Alright, thank you for your answer. =) I find it amusing that the 15-day trial of the full AntiLogger both looks worse and performs worse than the AntiLogger Free version. I think I am going to keep using the Free version since it works with encryption which is why I wanted to test it from the beginning.
