You need to authorize the "Microsoft Certificate Enrollment Control"...

I’ve seen this issue several times here, but never a resolution. When I navigate to the “Collection of Secure Email Certificate” page, it reads:

You need to authorize the "Microsoft Certificate Enrollment Control" to install your new Certificate:
  • Click here to reload this webpage, then…
  • When you see a Security Warning popup, click Yes to install the “Microsoft Certificate Enrollment Control”.

Where I reload the webpage, there is no Security Warning popup.

How do I authorize the Microsoft Certificate Enrollment Control?

Snap i had the same problem , sorry didnt find an answer ???

Hi,

Please provide next information about your software:

  1. Operation System version, Service Pack installed.
  2. Your Web browser version.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Eugene.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Internet Explorer 8

I use Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, IE8, and the security window for Microsoft Certificate Enrollment Control never pops up.

I have the same event occuring. Windows Vista 32 Windows Mail IE-8 The “…Control” doesn’t pop up. When I complete the form anyway and finish the form begins to loop on reload. Later, when I tried to reapply for another digital signature, the msg was I already have one. I do not know where it is or how to find it.

Has anyone got a resolution to this? I have the same issue with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and IE8. I can’t get the certs installed because the ActiveX won’t pop up.

What are your security settings at? Are you running as Admin?

I know this question is old but I’m having the same problem and I can’t see an answer on here, I’m running Vista 32 bit, SP2, running as admin using IE8.

Hi,

maybe this will be help.

If this is not working, you can install a XP machine with IE6 or IE7 and download the needed certificate and export them to the Windows7 machine.
I think it is not dependant on OS
