Approximately every 3-4 minutes I get some sort of “Windows Operating System” and “System” intrusion attempt originating from a variety of source ips. Should I be concerned?
If you PC is directly connected to the internet this is normal. However the WindowsXP SP2 firewall is normally good enough to block that type of attacks, that doesn’t stop comodo to report such attacks.
If you want those attacks to stop you will ave to hide you PC behind a router, since then all direct attacks go to the router and not to your Windows machine. All routers I know block all incoming traffic. Only traffic which you started from the inside (like browsing, gaming etc) will be let in and out.
