I have a brand-new laptop and installed Comodo 7 final, but my system crashed. I contacted Microsoft and they informed me that you should only install software that states can run on Windows 8.1 and not Windows 8 as both are very different, and they are not a sub section of Windows 8. Is Comodo 7 compatable with Windows 8.1?
I’m running it just fine so I’d say yes, besides V6 was compatible with Windows 8.1 so if V7 wouldn’t be then that would have been a major issue and step back for Comodo.
But on the Comodo website it does not state that, it only says Windows 8, Windows 8.1 is very different; something I never knew until speaking with Microsoft Support. Kaspersky is fully licensed and checked by Microsoft and can run on Windows 8.1???
V7 runs perfectly fine in Windows 8.1 on my 2005 vintage laptop.
I am running CIS V7 on Win 8.1 with no issues. :-TU
I agree the system requirements page should be updated to cease confusion.
