Using 2024 beta cis antivirus and firewall
Sometimes when using the Windows 11 settings app it will stop responding after clicking on a menu in the left hand side. This does not happen all the time but it is usually every second time when opening it.
I found out that disabling the antivirus the settings app wont freeze.
I have the same problem on a desktop install with release preview and three VMWare first is fresh install no insider second is release preview and the third is canary
The settings app is still freezing randomly.
Is there anything the antivirus could block on the settings app. Yes this is a very strange issue.

It’s interesting that disabling the antivirus seems to resolve the issue. Have you tried adjusting any other settings related to antivirus or firewall? By the way, if you’re also looking to optimize your Windows 11 experience, have you considered getting a cheap Windows 11 key? It might be worth exploring!
I have only turned off auto containment.
The settings seem to work ok now on one vmware I can’t remember which version of Windows 11 it is now but will check later.
