Isn’t sha1 and md5 cryptographically broken which let’s to bypass cloud in theory?
I would suggest to use of sha256.

Actually wait they are now using sha256 in cloud but only showing at portal as sha1?
Edit: It’s wrong because only virustotal link shows as sha256 that’s why they restoring as sha256.
Edit 2: So they can really use sha256.
