Where can I find my SSL certificate private key?

Hello,

I ordered an SSL certificate and received four .crt files:

Root CA Certificate - AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt
Intermediate CA Certificate - COMODORSAAddTrustCA.crt
Intermediate CA Certificate - COMODORSADomainValidationSecureServerCA.crt
Your Free SSL Certificate - www_mydomain_com.crt

I need the private key .key file to convert the SSL certificate to .pfx format in order to install it on the web server.

Can you please help me to retrieve this .key file?

That depends on your server type.

Best place to start is the knowledge base under SSL:

I have this problem too and the link to the knowledge base isnt clear for what i need to do.

If you need your Private Key then you will need to look on your server.

You keep the Private Key, Comodo never has it…otherwise it wouldn’t be Private.

That is why I suggested looking at the knowledgebase items relating to your server type.
