Same.
I think Norton v23 is good too. (in v24 (newly released) they just copied everything from Avast (like engine) ).

ESET is great too.

Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Norton, ESET.

Question:
Which antivirus can prevent infection even when detection fails?

My antivirus it’s absolutely amazing. You won’t find it on the web or on Google Play because err erm hmmm it’s still in development…No no no don’t leave people!

When I do release it in 2067 it will be absolutely amazing it will rely on detection and have virus signatures that as a ultra special deal to the first person that signs up I’ll release once every 6 months. That’s real protection.

Cost? Well erm ÂŁ50.00 every 6 months for the first 4 people otherwise ÂŁ100.00 a year.

Sign up in 2067.

I think this is a groundbreaking deal myself…Amazing Amazing.

Only one I can think of…The very same one that’s independently certified. Why aren’t all the others I ask myself?..

Comodo because it has sandbox feature in default. Even if it’s closed their HIPS can detect it. But my malware analyzer shows files at sandbox environment with decomplication etc. Even if detections fail (You sometimes generally wait 30 minutes for most of scans complete) you can understand his behaviour in log file and sandbox folder, decomplication folder. Which is pretty important to analyze file manually. And everyone can fork that but complication little bit complex.

No have experiences since 2005 when i leave Kaspersky to Comodo.

For my pro laptop i’m on Cortex XDR

I’ve had good results with Bitdefender. It’s solid, doesn’t slow down my system, and the interface is pretty straightforward.

How does Bitdefender prevent infection from the malware it does not detect?

I’ve been using Bitdefender for a while now and really like it. It’s got great protection and doesn’t slow my computer down. I also used Kaspersky for a few years, and it was solid too, but I switched after all the privacy concerns came up. Honestly, both are great, just depends on what you’re comfortable with.

I think the same about KASPERSKY, I’m just not using it because it’s RUSSIAN.
But it has a high level of malware detection.
Their products are very polished and have a lot of extra tools that help with security.

How does Kaspersky prevent infection from the malware it does not detect?

Kaspersky uses multiple layers of protection to prevent malware infections, even those that are not detected immediately. Here are some of the main strategies:

  1. Behavioral Analysis: Kaspersky monitors the behavior of programs in real time. If a program starts acting suspiciously, it can be blocked or quarantined, even if it is not identified as known malwareš.

  2. Frequent Updates: The software is constantly updated with new virus and malware definitions. This helps to identify and block new threats quickly⁴.

  3. Vulnerability Scan: Kaspersky performs regular scans to identify and fix vulnerabilities in the operating system and other installed software. This prevents malware from exploiting these flaws to infect the device².

  4. Proactive Protection: Tools like Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security intercept all attempts to access files and check for known viruses and other malware before allowing access⁾⁜.

These measures help create a robust defense against a wide range of threats, even those that have not yet been identified.

Everything you mentioned is still susceptible to missing a detection…
Behavior…threat defense, frequent updates and proactive protection are all based on “detection”…

how you will prevent the breach when these detections miss a brand new malware?

Kaspersky uses sandbox technology as part of its security solutions.

Kaspersky’s sandbox is integrated into its Anti-Targeted Attack Platform and Threat Intelligence platform, providing detailed analysis and detection of malicious activity. It is designed to work with multiple operating systems, including Windows and Android.

Kaspersky’s malware-reversing technology is called Kaspersky System Watcher.
This tool monitors the behavior of programs on your computer and, if it detects suspicious activity, can reverse the malicious actions, restoring files and data that may have been altered or damaged by malware.

Still…pls answer my question…everything you are saying is “detection based” still…
