What is Malware@0

When Comodo ran a schedule scan it returned a large number of old documents that I have created (all Word documents) with “Malware@0”.

What does this mean?

The documents open ok (I’ve tried a random sample of a couple), and they are not triggering a macro warning in Word.

This happened on two computers in the house.

Windows 10 Pro
Comodo version 12.2.2.8012
Virus database is up to date.

Thank you for reporting. we will check this and update you.
Are you installed any other security software installed on your machine other than CIS ?

Thanks

I have CCleaner and Spybot Search & Destroy on one of the affected computers, but not on the other.

Hi stargoo,

Thank you for providing the requested information, could you please check your inbox for pm and respond ?
Collect log from the PC where CIS alone is installed.

I’ve just checked again and SSD (but not CCleaner) is also running on the other PC.
So sorry for the misinformation.
I have run the reporting tool anyway on both PCs and attached the results into a reply message.

It was caused by a bad signature update which causes it to incorrectly detect malware of all word documents, just update the AV database again.
