Adblock Plus for Google Chrome™ (Beta) experimental build
AdBlock+ Element Hiding Helper
Better Pop Up Blocker
Forecastfox
Ghostery
Google Redesigned
Mouse Stroke
ScriptNo
X-notifier (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL …)

Now I have basically a Firefox on steroids.

Sweet, I am trying it out as well. It really improves over their non-experimental beta.

Yeah, it looks like a step forward

The experimental development builds starting with Adblock Plus for Google Chrome 1.1.4.694 will disable the “old” blocking functionality now, only the new webRequest API will be used for blocking. This improves performance and memory use, it also makes sure that issues with dynamically loaded images no longer happen. I can only see one side-effect: blocked images are no longer collapsed, instead you will see a “broken image” placeholder.

The only downside is that on some sites I see that “broken image” placeholder instead a collapsed image but I can live with that.

Hmm…my usual sites do happen to have a collapse effect. As for the others sites, well…it’s not perfect, but it’s good.

i wanted to share some info about 2 new extensions i found. Disconnect and Facebook Disconnect. i don’t know if there’s a scenario where you would use both but they’re both made by Brian Kennish who used to work for google on the chrome browser. and what disconnect does is it disables 3rd party tracking which is different then 3rd party cookies, truly depersonalizes searches, allows you to see blocked request and easily unblock request. according to steve gibson it has been known to break some things.

here’s the link to the 2 extensions and Brian Kennish’s blog

extensions
Disconnect. Disconnect - Chrome Web Store
Facebook Disconnect. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ejpepffjfmamnambagiibghpglaidiec?hc=search&hcp=main

Brian Kennish’s blog
http://disconnect.me/blog

he has a thing on his blog titled “Facebook forced to admit tracking” pretty interesting. oh and the extension works in dragon so far

I am completely with you on that and I used it before Ghostery made a Chromium extension, but it covers a few tracking companies. Ghostery is where it’s at, since it covers more.

i thought ghostery just allowed you to see the tracking. are you saying that it actually prevents tracking now

When I began using it, it was already doing the blocking, but, back then, it was just to allow you to see who’s tracking you.

On Gecko-based browsers, it works like a charm, but on Chromium it’s still has issues. Either way, more items are blocked than “Disconnect.”

is there any features that disconnect offer that ghostery doesn’t

You got me on that, I only used it for like a month, until Ghostery announced their Chrome-version release.
I think Ghostery might have some set-backs where some things might not function unless you allow a few trackers (I have to allow Yahoo! Analytics, which I am more happy to, but not Google Analytics, ever.), Disconnect is solid, so things will work nicely on Disconnect. Somethings you might have to allow on Disconnect also, sometimes.

If they would make Request Policy on Chromium, it would be amazing.

I use:

Adblock Plus for Google Chrome™ (Beta)
AdBlock+ Element Hiding Helper
All Mangas Reader
Bookmark Sentry
Deviantart v7 Fullview
FlashControl
Forecastfox
Hover Zoom
iSlide
Paused! (Works well sometimes, but not always! May be due to differences in Dragon.)
Photosight.ru gallery viewer
Pig Toolbox
Pixlr Grabber - Screen capture/image grabbing
Reload All Tabs
SuperSorter
TinEye Reverse Image Search
Website Blocker (Beta)
wikipedia image preview
YouTube Options for Google Chrome™ (Full Version)

I would like to use:

Chrome Tools
Service Pages for Google Chrome™

Unfortunately, these last two will not work properly because of differences between the way Dragon and Chrome do things to access the pages like History, Bookmarks, Downloads, all of the Chrome “about pages”, etc.

Anyone looking at my list of extensions may wonder why I have so many that allow me to control when certain things appear or do not appear. It’s simple. I suffer from migraines and any flickering, flashing image–like most of the ads on the Internet–act as triggers for migraines. Paused! is aimed at stopping animated GIF images from showing more than the first frame unless I click on the image. Unfortunately, something in Dragon allows animated GIFs to work some of the time, although they do seem to run at a slower speed with Paused! enabled. It would be great if Comodo would simply add a couple of controls to their basic program to allow users to decide whether they want to have flickering, flashing images from any source intruding on their life. Anything to reduce the number of extensions and thus the memory load would be great!

sorry also to laxy to link :stuck_out_tongue:
