What about confessing your favourite comedy series/shows etc?

Hello all :slight_smile:

Now since the technical stuff does my brain in-even the non-scientific and mathematical stuff!

Just thought I’d ask around about your favourite comedy shows etc…

Well since this is a confession board I will confess that ever since I moved from London down to the south coast of England I still haven’t found anybody with a similar sense of humour to me-they just don’t exist!
In London I could have a good old laugh with folks on my comedic level-but maybe the Sussex winds take out other kinds of comedy and turns everybody into mass-produced uber-dry-only comedy types.

Anyhow here is my list:

  1. Blackadder.
  2. Monty Python.
  3. Family Guy.
  4. Father Ted.
  5. Spaced.
  6. The Mighty Boosh.
  7. Curb your Enthusiasm.
  8. Futurama-though only up to season 4 mind!
  9. The Fast Show.
  10. Not the Nine 'o Clock News.

-I’d also like to confess that as a result of living in a 100% uber-dry-only sense of humour land aka Sussex, I have managed to write quite an amount of my own comedy and have even drawn my own characters :slight_smile:

Anyway back onto subject-what kinds of comedy progs do you folks like??

Well, Monty Python of course is the classic.

I’m also a fan of Blackadder, but I’m more partial to the first two versions.

The Mighty Boosh is a bit hit and miss for me.

Family Guy is pretty good.

Comedy shows I like to watch, in no particular order.

  • Aqua Teen Hunger Force
  • The Big ■■■■ Theory
  • The IT Crowd
  • Code Monkeys
  • Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show
  • South Park
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
  • The Office

And probably more I’m not thinking of at the moment…

Oh yeah I forgot about South Park which I really like :slight_smile:

I think with regards to Mighty Boosh seasons 1 and 3 were better than 2.

I also used to like Spitting Image.
