I’m new to Comodo, but before I install it, I’d like to know how to set it up the way I want, or as close to it as possible. The way I would like things to work is for Comodo to automatically allow windows services and processes that usually connect, but ask me for permission for any programs that might try to connect, but I don’t want them too. I just want to have control over some of those annoying programs that, even after you set it to not update, it stills tries to connect. I’m a little nervous about using Comodo as I’ve heard it can be complicated for some people. so the more detail you can give me, the better.
Hey and warm welcome to comodo forums!
the first thing I would is to go CIS → firewall → Firewall Behavior Settings and have the settings that on the pic, Now go Stealth Wizard → Alert me for incoming…
www.robtex.com, www.ipvoid.com and www.virustotal.com are good places to begin if you want to scan addresses.
I hope this help a bit.

In general I would set it up as I describe in this article, however it will automatically allow all whitelisted applications.
Still though, the article is a good place to start.
