melih

I’m sure you’re doing a good job. (B)
Now I dare to ask you if it will be out today or should we wait till tommorow? Thank you!

There’s your answer:

I keep telling you “yes!”

humm

Maybe stupid but why don’t you simply send the new version to hosting sites like Betanews, Filehippo… Wouldn’t it be easier for everybody ?

Me Too (:AGY)

Running XP SP2 Spanish here…

alpha/beta versions are only available to the forum subscribers that I’ve seen. Comodo only wants official/supported versions out in the world in mass; and for good reason.
:■■■■

Read Melih’s post above. The update is disabled.

They do release there beta’s on Betanews but you have to wait longer.
Comodo Antivirus released Beta 2 on 20th September on Betanews site today!

@ m0ng0d

Are you sure ?

Today, just a couple of hours ago this appeared on Betanews :

Comodo Anitivirus 2.0.17.58 Beta

So…

… I think CAVS is the exception… even CAV 1.1 Beta was kinda treated like an official release… I guess the moral is… If it’s found as a download from the comodo web-site (not forum), it’s fair game to be concidered released and able to be found anywhere.

… but this story doesn’t/hasn’t repeat(ed) for CFP. (:AGL)

Cant wait for the release.Comodo is awesome (L)

wow, didn’t know that. I wonder why they lock/protect the beta forums from anonymous browsers then?

That’s a leaked beta.

Anyway there is no official statement to limit beta leaking but you all may consider to post a comment to these sites in order to direct them to the forums or the known issues list.
Sites providing only a link without any other information cause much more issues to users downloading these files without having an approptiate idea that this is a beta not intended to be used on a production machine.

It would be a good idea to contact webmasters of these sites in order to add more info on the download pages.

(CNY)

Just because it’s released on another site (filehippo, betanews, majorgeeks, etc) doesn’t mean it’s Comodo doing it. The folks running those sites get files from different sources and upload (frequently with very little testing - regardless of what they say!). Thus, there is no guarantee on it being 100% legit. Best bet is to follow back to the source (developers) and download there, IMO.

AFAIK, Comodo has not released their software directly to another site for download; especially not Betas.

Thank you for your comment gibran

Little Mac
I do not know how they do this but the download link is:-
CFP_Setup_3.0.8.214_XP_VISTA_BETA.exe

From us3.download.comodo.com

 Or is the real link?

Great!! I knew i wasn’t crazy (:TNG) :■■■■

That’s an entirely separate issue. (:LGH)

NP

Anyway referencing the download link from comodo is a bit more sneaky >:(
Not only they don’t mirror it but they prevent users from reading the necessary infos too. :o

Ok, my first post so hello folks.

I just got a new compaq and was planning on waxing it and installing XP since there is not a trusted firewall for vista yet. is the beta 3.0.9.221 for vista available download, and if so, where. I’d like to hop in the beta bandwagon.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have yet to use vista, but am ready to give it a try if I can get a beta comodo firewall.

oops, looks like CFP 3.0.8.214 BETA was just released, downloading now

We are waiting for the latest beta to come out now
