This happens at boot - so difficult to know (CIS & drivers)?
-Specific symptoms of the bug, and steps you can take to reproduce it (step by step).
Start up computer with CIS 3.8 (468), Vista loads with loading bar - after this the Vista orb appears in the middle of the screen on a black background and the Vista start-up tune is played. In CIS 3.8 (468) the start-up tune is NOT played. Both computers I experienced this on had Realtek HD audio but this may only be a coincidence. After CIS was rolled back to CIS 3.5 the tune played on start-up.
-Specific steps you have taken to try to resolve it.
Rolled back to CIS 3.5.

Have solved this issue by upgrading to 3.8…471 and adding ‘c:\windows\System32\imageres.dll’ as a ‘Windows System Application’ to Defense+ policies.
