virus database improvement

hi i’m a newbie in COMODO world (:TNG) i’ve uninstalled all security softwares in my computer and replace them with COMODO.now i’ve got a full pack COMODO computer.great firewall, fascinating Boclean, cool vengine.

i have a suggestion for CAV, reduce the bug please (:LGH)
and maybe u could make some kind of local support to improve ur virus database. i’m from indonesia and there’s lot of local virus that cannot be detected by even the most popular AV like symantec, norton,AVG, and kaspersky.

Hi,

Version 3 of CAVs will have better detection engine for viruses. You can submit files the HIPS alerts automatically and any that are viruses will be added to the database, while those that are safe will be added to the safe-list. Version 3 should fix some of the current bugs with a redesigned scan engine, lower RAM useage, etc.

I don’t have an exact date, but I’m guessing next couple of weeks to a month or so for a beta version. Probably around September.

Melih has said they should have a stable releaes by the end of this year, but dates are subject to change.
