Same here, been trying all day,… Nothing! :-\
Hi Nikbear
Are you also based in the UK?
Comodo staff have emailed me today [Thursday 20th March] saying that there is nothing wrong with their systems but as of 4.00 p.m. UK time their Virus Database Updater is still failing to complete the task. I have emailed a response asking them to recheck as their updater has failed to update on several occasions in the past and in each case Comodo were at fault and corrected their error.
Friday 21st March
Received an email from Comodo asking me to uninstall CIS and reinstall the latest version from their website.
I have now done this and the virus database is updating correctly.
I would suggest that anyone reading this with the same problem, do likewise.
:-TU
Yes, I’am in the UK, using Comodo Internet Security Premium for years now, on an XP based machine, strange that this only happened after a Microsoft update, thought it was a parting gift from them to encourage me to get rid of XP 88)
Anyway, its still not updating,…if I have to re-install Comodo, how do I get it to Premium status again, its been so long since I installed this that I can’t even remember :-[
Same problem in USA past several days. Today Mar 22nd, I re-down loaded CIS, but got an Abort when I executed the installation. And yes, I uninstalled the old version first. So, I restored my system to last week when everything was rosy and the update worked. But alas, I still cannot update, so I firmly believe Comodo has a problem with their Updater.
Since this is a common problem, is anyone from Comodo going to fix this??
Moderators, it would be nice to be kept informed as to whether the Comodo team are aware of this or are they working on a solution or anything???
If not, then at least have the good grace to tell us and we can take our business elsewhere :-\
