VirtualRoot, okay to remove "hidden"?

Hello,

I was wondering why the sandbox folder is hidden? The VirtualRoot folder. Is it to heighten the security against malware or the security against someone stumbling upon it? I guess what I really want to ask is if it’s okay for me to un-hide the folder since I have to go in there and change things some many times a day, or would that open a security hole?

Thanks,
SanyaIV

Not wholly sure but I don’t suppose it would make any difference so long as you restrict what you do in the sandbox to running known safe files.

Any other views?

I would think that the hidden attribute is to prevent users from doing stuff they shouldn’t. It will not stop malware with kernel access.

As such I don’t think it will only open a security hole known as the end user.

Thank you for the answers. I’ll remove the hidden attribute since I usually download a lot of programs for testing purposes to see if they do what I want them to do, but if they download to the sandbox I can’t execute them through Comodo Dragon hence I have to go into the folder and move them to my desktop.
