Virtual Koisk not working/starting-possible MSSE interference [V6][M674]

A. THE BUG/ISSUE (Varies from issue to issue)

Summary: Pls give a clear summary in the topic subject, NOT here.
Can U reproduce the problem & if so how reliably?: Every time I try to launch Virtual Koisk
If U can, exact steps to reproduce. If not, exactly what U did & what happened:
a: Launch Comodo Firewall
b: Click Virtual Koisk
c: A Box appears in the centre of the screen saying " Virtual Koisk is loading"
d: The box stays there (even for hours) and after sometime the system becomes unresponsive especially after I try to kill the process from Task Manager
If not obvious, what U expected to happen: After clicking Virtual Koisk in the Firewall main display, the Virtual Koisk should start
If a software compatibility problem have U tried the conflict FAQ?: No
Any software except CIS/OS involved? If so - name, & exact version: No
Any other information, eg your guess at the cause, how U tried to fix it etc: I uninstalled the Firewall according to the steps given in this forum, then re-installed it. I also ran applications like CCleaner and SlimCleaner in an attempt to clean any errors etc. Also, I have 4 browsers in the widget i.e Comodo Dragon, Chrome, ice dragon and IE… I clicked all 4 one by one…chrome and IE opened for a while as virtualized, but then went unresponsive while the other two didnt open at all. However when I opened the task manager and killswitch, all four were showing up there…

Also, after re-installing Window today, i installed Comodo Firewall after installing Video and Wifi drivers… And Virtual Koisk was working… But when I installed MSSE, and updated it, Virtual Koisk stopped working as before…
Just wanted to mention it if it could be of any help…

Modules enabled & level. D+/HIPS, Autosandbox/BBlocker, Firewall, & AV: HIPS=safe, Firewall=Safe, Auto Sandbox= Disabled
Have U made any other changes to the default config? (egs here.): No
Have U updated (without uninstall) from CIS 5: No
if so, have U tried a a clean reinstall - if not please do?:
Have U imported a config from a previous version of CIS: No
if so, have U tried a standard config - if not please do:

Thank you very much. You have correctly used the format.

However, please attach the diagnostics report as well. I didn’t see that as one of the attachments.

Also, can you please try disabling MSSE and see if that makes any difference?

Thank you.

Thanks for reply,
I wanted to say that I am not that much a computer expert. so would you plz tell me how to get the diagnostic report so that i can attach it here…
Also disabling MSSE doesn’t make any difference…
regards

ok I ve got it… but i am unable to paste it since it is in HTML format…???

To create the diagnostics report open the main GUI. Then click on the question mark, select support, and then select diagnostics. This will then offer you the option to create the diagnostics report, which will automatically be saved in a zip file, which can be uploaded to the forum.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

OK… thanks a lot. I got it and i m attaching it…

Okay, there’s just a few things I would now ask for you to do. This should allow us to narrow down the problem.

First, please see if you can open up a virtualized version of a browser by clicking on the browser icon through the widget. What happens when you do that?

Also, please once again try to open the Kiosk. While the Kiosk loading message is visible open KillSwitch. Then right click on any one of the processes and select the option to create dump. Then select “Create full dump”. Then upload that dump file to a file sharing site, such as this one and paste the download link into your response.

This should give the devs enough information to narrow down the problem and fix it.

Thank you.

I had to again force shut down my system and now I am posting from my mobile… Just want a clarification…should i create a dump file for any process in the killswitch or should it only be related to Comodo processes???

A full dump will make a dump for all processes. Thus, it doesn’t matter which process you right-click on.

Also, were you able to open one of your browsers virtualized, or did this fail as well?

Thanks.

Please upload the full memory dump. I think that’s the last thing which is required.

Thanks.

Here is the link of dump file… http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/1xtnBMZhI.dmp

One thing to mention…
I again re-installed Windows today. But unfortunately the problem is still there… I am really getting frustrated with force shutting down my system again and again…this issue is really getting on my nerves… dont know whats the matter…
anyhow thanks a lot for showing concern and giving me time…
regards

i had exactly the same problem yesterday (splash screen of virtual kiosk but nothing at the end…)

i remembered that some days before i’ve changed a registry key as adviced by George-Silviu Blendea here https://forums.comodo.com/bug-reports-cd/dragon-update-service-causing-loss-of-window-focus-every-30-minutes-t99133.0.html;msg717415#msg717415 for a problem of autoupdate from comodo dragon.

so i killed the process virtualkisok (don’t remember the exact name but it is easily recognisable) and changed the registry key to 1.

after this when i restarted the kiosk again it launched normally.
(maybe there isn’t link with this action and it starts for an other reason)

Thank you very much for your report in standard format, with all information supplied. The care you have taken is much appreciated by Comodo, and will increase the likelihood that this bug can be fixed.

Developers may or may not communicate with you in the forum or by PM/IM, depending on time availability and need. Because you have supplied complete information they may be able to replicate and fix the bug without doing so.

Many thanks again.

Thanks for letting me know. I have updated the first post.

The devs have informed me that they believe that this is fixed for CIS version 7.0.313494.4115. I will therefore move this to Resolved.

If this is still not fixed for you please both respond to this topic and send me a PM (including a link to this bug report).

Thank you.
