Virtual desktop does not load and stop at logo

I was update Comodo 6.3.2945 to the newest version. After update the Comodo Virtual desktop does not working properly. When I run it the Comodo Virtual Desktop stopped at logo “Virtual Desktop is loading…” However, Geek buddy suggest me that I un-install Comodo and the run CIS+Removal tool 2013. I did that, but the problem remains or persists on the same way before when I re-installed it. However after installation i run Diagnostic tool and I create problem report. But when I restarted windows 7 x64 and run diagnostic tool again, but it’s not found any problems or errors. How can I fixed problem with virtual desktop tha will be working well such before I was Update Comodo?

However, I notice that the same time when I run Comodo Virtual Desktop, will be automatically opened Explorer of Windows…

Are you on a laptop that is plugged into to AC power?

Yes, the laptop is on AC power plug-in.

Hi Abst,
Have you tried resetting the sandbox in case corruption has occurred to the VTRoot folder.
Note: All data that is stored in the sandbox only, will be removed.

Hi captainsticks,

Yes, I did it. However, I reinstall Silverlight, but dosen’t help. The problem remains

Hi Abst,
Is this issue occurring when opening VD from within the GUI or a desktop shortcut?

If it is from within the GUI, I would consider trying a clean re-install although I noticed you have already tried a re-install.
Most Effective Way to Reinstall/Update CIS to Avoid/Fix Problems

Edit: I don’t suppose that you have tried it without Silverlight?
I just that found a similar issue with an earlier version when Silverlight is installed, unfortunately with no resolution posted.
Virtual Kiosk closes and opens the Libraries
Edit: Fixed broken link.

This issue occurring when I opening VD from within the GUI and/or direct run virtkiosk.exe.

The first link is invalid.

I try to use System restore point. However in this case the panel GUI was defected, like as some strange string $…etc at Advanced option.

Why the restore point of Windows do not return to early version of Comodo, when was working well?

Hi Abst,
System restore is not designed to restore or revert 3rd party programs, it is only designed to bring the operating system back to a working point in case of operating system issues.
Unfortunately trying to use system restore to revert to a previous 3rd party program is likely to cause corruption in that installed program.
This appears to have happened to you with CIS.
I would now strongly recommend following Chirons advice to re-install in the link in my previous post.
The link in my previous post is now fixed, thanks.

First at all, I was just update Comodo 6.3.2945 to the newest version. After update the Comodo Virtual desktop does not working properly. When I run it the Comodo Virtual Desktop stopped at logo “Virtual Desktop is loading…”

Then I decided that I use System restore point that be return into working version of Comodo. However, on other computer when I used restore point the restore point return to the previous version of Comodo with any malfunction.

What about if I remove Comodo with Revo uninstaller on Win 7 x64?

However I don’t understand why simple update cause such malfunction of Virtual desktop, but Sandbox and all other function working properly?

How come that the Comodo not made some tool which remove Comodo completely?

The cleaning tools of Comodo by my experience produce that other programs not working properly.

And even, If I on some way to fixed issue, I have fear that next time when will be Comodo updated that Virtual desktop not working properly?
T

I also have this problem, and there’s verified bug report about it with no solution in the bug reports. The virtual desktop doesn’t like laptops on AC power for some reason.

If its bug and the Comodo knew, it’s very un-responsible to as – users of Comodo product. How can they expect that I will buy a faulty product? >:(

Well its not like they knew at time of release. It was reported later and verified by others.

But I mean really, who thinks to try testing security software on battery power and then on AC power?

Well, I update Comodo on laptop, which was plug-in to AC power. And I don’t understand what’s the power supply will be effect on Virtual desktop?

However, the main problem noe is that no tools from Comodo which completely remove CIS and then allow clean install with any of complex procedure.

I notice that last update of Comodo significant influence to boot time of Windows 7 for several minutes. It’s a bug or what?
