version3 or version2

Help for v3

Hi

I am using version 3 as firewall only. I am not using Defence+.

just wondering which version is better using just as a firewall( version 2) or (Version3) :THNK

I believe I read somewhere(can’t recall) that version 3 has had problems with leak testing. As I understand version 2 passed the leak tests with flying colors. I’ve used version 2 from day one with no problems. If I am incorrect with respect to leak test info, I stand corrected.

I prefer ver 3 to ver 2, however I am running Defense+.
In order to get comparable protection you have to run Defense+ with ver 3.

I guess the point was that V3 with D+ disabled had problems. And V3 with D+ enabled better passes any tests than V2.

absolutely! i’ve tried about 10 leaktest apps, the “firewall” part only stop 1 of them. and the other were blocked by “defense+”.
i’ve never test any leak test apps on V2, but i heard even the out of the box setting of V2 can pass
most of the tests.
so i think we should use a complete V3 w/Defense+ or V2.

I did use V3 W/Defence+ but i kept on getting freezes that lasted about 10 t0 15 minutes, and occasionally i have had to do a shut down by holding down the on button on the computer.
I have had no problems with just using the firewall component.

Just seems a bit funny when you install, you get a option to install basic install (firewall only)
Advance users to install advance mode etc (firewall, Defence+)

So i think i will go back to version 2
I am a long way from being an advance user , ( i only have a very basic understanding of computers )

hmmm, have you tried to post your freezing problem here? i think if you need a firewall only, you can live with V2, but Defense+ of V3 is a great security software.

It could depend on your OS if you are using Vista then Version 3 is your only option.

Moutsek has not reviewed version 3. I have a feeling Comodo is awaiting for CMF (Comodo Memory Firewall - the anti-buffer overflow program) to be fused with CFP 3 before they request him to review it.

I also believe that thing “TC” (Initials that stand for something), is waiting to be released and fussed into CFP 3 as well before Comodo request a review of v3 (my feelings!)…

Because Melih stated TC is a new level/way of fighting against Malware… It should be interesting!

Yes, perhaps some of the parts of version 2.4 will be added to version 3, if not already. "TLC’ stands for “Tender Loving Care”, i think. “TS” in the service, stood for … well don’t think i should print it here. Well the first word is “tough”. “TC” … hmm?
