v5.0

I just received the 5.0 update. I had CIS v4.1 (Firewall and Defense+ installed, NO AV). I n the about it says Comodo Firewall v5.0xxxxx. I want to make sure that I am using CIS. The Defense+ tab is still there and all my settings and programs are still listed.

I used the auto update to update to the current version. Was this the correct way? Did I need to uninstall the previous version and download the current version? Thanks for providing protection to users for free. So many companies want to charge to protect users, it nice that there are still companies that believe that users should be protected for free.

I could be wrong, but I believe they separated out the naming conventions when they created the standalone installers.

CIS would indicate the entire suite has been installed.

Since you didn’t install the AV, you are using the most up to date version, but it isn’t the full suite, so it isn’t called CIS.
