Using Defense+ to restrict hardware

Hi, is there any way to use Defense+ to restrict access to a hardware device? For example, I want to restrict access to my Hauppauge TV tuner to Windows Media Center. I know the executable names of WMC and I know the TV tuner driver is C:\Windows\System32\drivers\hcw72ATV.sys. Checking in process explorer and temporarily deleting them, other programs don’t seem to access the DLLs created in C:\Windows\System32\ by the Hauppauge driver installation.

Any help would be appreciated.
