User profiled safelist database maker / UPSDBMaker.exe is very slow

Hi, how long does the UPSDBMaker.exe start up initial scan take. Can I disable the pop-up box, or do I always have to always exit it?

PS, I finally am doing the scan, and it is over 2 1/2 hours so far.
