Urgent Help Needed: Gamer Desktop Facing Persistent Errors While Playing Games

Hi everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out because I’m encountering a frustrating issue with my pc gaming desktop that’s been affecting my gaming experience significantly. Here are the details:

System Configuration:

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-13900K

Issue Description: Whenever I start playing games, I encounter a persistent error that causes the game to crash or freeze. The issue occurs with both older and newer titles, and it seems to happen at random intervals. Here’s what I’ve tried so far to resolve the issue:

  1. Updated Drivers: Ensured all drivers, especially for the GPU, are up-to-date.
  2. Checked Temperatures: Monitored temperatures to make sure the system isn’t overheating.
  3. Run Diagnostics: Ran built-in diagnostics to check for hardware issues.
  4. Reinstalled Games: Reinstalled the affected games, but the issue persists.

Error Messages:

  • “DirectX Error: Unable to initialize Direct3D”

  • “Application has stopped working”

  • The issue started occurring about two weeks ago, shortly after a Windows update.

  • It seems to happen more frequently during high-intensity scenes, especially in newer AAA games like “Cyberpunk 2077” and “Starfield.” However, it also occurs during less demanding games like “Stardew Valley” after prolonged play sessions.

  • I’ve checked for overheating and the temperatures seem normal, even under load.

  • No recent hardware changes or overclocking were done before the problem started.

Has anyone experienced similar issues or have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? I’m looking for advice on additional steps to diagnose or fix the problem. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Try adding the game to Shell Code Exceptions.
