comodo firewall has failed to initialise at start up after an update and I was unable to start it manually. I then tried to uninstall and reinstall the program. When the new installation begins it recognises that comodo is already installed on my system and stops. My uninstaller software cannot find the program and there are no missing registry directives. I thought I might be able to delete the folder manually but it is protected and renaming the file doesnt work. I also tried installing an earlier version hoping to update this also fails… any suggestions? I rate this product as my number one “must have” and this is the first time I have had any problem with it and I am anxious to get this resolved

Try running the batch file first that is found in the thread referenced by Vettetech. It could save you a LOT of time.
