That’s not accurate — Comodo’s virus database updates continue throughout weekends. I had a signature update 8 hours ago 12PM GMT. Database version: 38874 though I only use the default light database. Unverified claims can cause confusion, have you not been receiving signature updates this weekend? What is your current database version? Are you using the light or full database? Your files will automatically be checked in the cloud against latest signatures and file rating. Any unknown or malicious will be Contained and your system still fully protected.
