Trusted Files Still Isolated/Sandboxed

I am trying to run Notepad++. Each time I start the program, I get a warning that it is unrecognized and will be isolated. I have checked ‘don’t isolate again,’ and have moved the program from ‘unrecognized files’ to ‘trusted files,’ with no effect: when I start the program again, the same thing happens. This happens with other program as well, and with processes/programs where selecting ‘trusted application’ has no effect.

Checking updates reports that Comodo is up to date.

I apologize if this issue has been addressed elsewhere, but I did not find anything with a search of the forums.

This can happen if a program has changed in some way from run to run.

You can go to Defense+ → Trusted Files and remove any entries for the application. Then click the Add button and select Browse Files.

Now check the box next to Use file names instead of file hashes (not recommended) and add the application to the list.

This way CIS will not care that the application has changed, so only do this with files you trust completely.

Are these programs on an external hard drive, USB stick, network location?
