And 99 is fine enough, especially in FFVII when you can max out everything at any level 
May I suggest Pyramids in the FFVII debug room? ^^

MP: 200
EXP: 500000
GIL: 500000
AP: 10000
Items: Turbo Ether
This way you can be at level 99 in beginning of game lol 
Tho the debug room wasn’t meant to be avaliable for the players, tho it’s indeed fun to mess around with it.
Because you can have the bad guy on your own team, and he’s invincible

I’ve only played FF I-XII, so therefore I can’t say anything about FFT, should play it some day.
Personally, I think FFVII is the best one, and I’ve probably played it for 1000s of hours.
And with the debug room it becomes even more interesting :o
Since you can get all materias, Sephiroth and lvl 99 at beginning of game and do some interesting stuff

Looks nice, but sadly it’s for Nintendo DS only form what I know, and I only got PC, PS and PS2(not buying PS3 before FFXIII is released :D).
Tho I might be able to play it with a Nintend DS emulator or something, looks good for being Nintendo DS game.
