Here was my problem…
I was reading all the rave reviews for the Comodo Firewall Pro so I decided to try it. I already had PC Tools Threatfire installed so I uninstalled ThreatFire then installed Comodo Firewall Pro. All was going fine until I had to restart my computer for Comodo to take effect…
When I restarted my computer the Windows XP Home loading screen stayed up there for a good five minutes. I shut the computer off then turned it on again. All was loading well until it got to the Windows account login screen. i tried to type my password and the keyboard didn’t work and the mouse stopped working. So again and again I tried to login to my Windows account (restarting so many times without luck!). Everytime the same thing would happen. The mouse would be working fine at the Windows login screen but as soon as I touched a button on the keyboard the mouse nor the keyboard would work! The computer wasn’t frozen, just the mouse and keyboard.
I finally got to start Windows up in Safe Mode with Networking and behold the driver for the keyboard had the little yellow exclamation point on it so I tried to fix it again and again to no avail…nothing was helping!
Anyway…after all this I uninstalled Comodo Firewall and reinstalled ThreatFire…now my keyboard works and everything is fine…
WHY DID THIS HAPPEN???
