I’m using COMODO Firewall since a little bit than 10 years and now, since a little while, I’m using COMODO Internet Security.
I would like to suggest an idea about the GUI here, that I think would make the software’s interface a little bit more handy for the user.
When we are in the “BASIC VIEW”, the header band will show these items : “TASKS”, “SETTINGS” and “LIVE SUPPORT” on the left and “ADVANVED VIEW” at the right.
When we are in the “ADVANVED VIEW”, the header band will show these items : “TASKS”, “SETTINGS” and “LOGS” on the left and “BASIC VIEW” at the right.
Also, actually, if we are either in the “BASIC VIEW” or in the “ADVANVED VIEW”, if we click on “TASKS”, the header will only show “HOME” and “SETTINGS” on the left and nothing on the right.
My suggestion is that if we are either in the “BASIC VIEW” or in the “ADVANVED VIEW”, the header band should show the same items on the left, which would be : “TASKS”, “SETTINGS”, “LOGS” and “LIVE SUPPORT”.
Another suggestion would be that when we click on “TASKS”, we should have these items on the left : “HOME”, “SETTINGS”, “LOGS” and “LIVE SUPPORT” and nothing on the right.
The item “HOME” should have the exact same width as “TASKS” and its police’s color should be something like red just to show the user that he will have to get back to the main interface after he will have finished what he had to do. Also there should be no left arrow to the left of this item (“HOME”).
I think that these changes would give more opportunities to the user to get access to a maximum of functionalities wathever he is doing.
