Please note that Comodo can also identify malware using SHA1 Values, as long as it has already been uploaded to at least one of the above services. If you would prefer to post those instead. It’s not necessary to report a file using more than one of these methods.

Please do not use the submission by email at malwaresubmit[at]avlab.comodo.com anymore because Comodo is no longer monitoring it.

DO NOT attach or link any malware or malicious links to your post.

P.S. Comodo Instant Malware Analysis (CIMA) is no longer active and can no longer be used to submit files to Comodo.

It seems both rogue site and moonsecure.com are down atm

clearly a rogue software and the vendor (Avanquest) is trusted

P.s: Comodo AV correctly detects the executable of this PUP once its installed as ApplUnwnt

I add others … I know that there are problems with malware detection … the competition detects them and CIS no … bad …
While COS detects them … strange.

Anyway I suggest to check all the CIS (CAV) antivirus detection system / database, because the percentage of the competition that detects them is very high and CIS (CAV) no, which in my opinion is not good. Then it is true that the SANDBOX intervenes but I expect that the Sanbox intervenes on the files not recognized by a small percentage of the anti-virus of the competition, it is unthinkable that the Sandbox comes into operation on files that almost all the other antiviruses have declared that it is about a malware.

The proactive security of CIS is what sets my mind at ease rather than worrying about detection rate. :wink:

But we’re getting off topic here. This is a submission topic. There are other boards suited to discuss what detection rate means for security, etc.
