stand-alone firewall?

thank you, Professorpedia.

Exhibit A: CF_Setup_2.3.6.81.exe = 7.92 MB
Exhibit B: CIS_Setup_3.8.64739.471_XP_Vista_x32.exe = 33.7 MB

even the file name has become bloated.

since we have established the fact that Exhibit A is smaller than Exhibit B,
using your own argument, CIS is, by definition, bloated.

Are we talking about the installer here, or the installed application?

errr, sorry to interrupt ??? you compared CFP 2 vs CIS 3 ???
isn’t it like comparing a truck with a sedan? ???

OK, i think we all get it, you want a smaller installer & smaller installation file. message delivered.
you may put it on CIS wishlist
if it can be done, why not? :-TU
and pls remove that “pedia” remark :a0 it doesn’t contribute anything to the whole discussion, pretty please :a0

both, but primarily the installer package.

of course you can compare a truck with a sedan.
however in this case, i’m not comparing, but contrasting.

only if you remove the first 23 smileys from your post, which contribute equally as much to the whole discussion.

nevermind then, i love those smileys ;D have a nice day sir (:WAV)

A few people on here are ‘smiley’ happy.

[Sgt.Ganda is (:KWL)] - dude u got an awesome attitude… ad eminem? grin

criabiah. you gotta be kiddin me.

You’ve misunderstood CIS entirely. The firewall without D+ will NOT pass any leak-test basically implying that it’ll ■■■■ out totally on outbound protection. yeah yeah it’ll still alert you if iexplore.exe tries to connect to the internet but any malware will (easily?) pass through.

That means that only firewall makes sense for inbound protection… heck why d/l 7mb when windows has one inbuilt. (ultimate anti-bloat = use a already installed microsft (cr?)app!!!)

seriously dont use cis if you dont want he suite… its crazy.

ps. bloatware is a urban slang. you’ll never find a definition in traditional dics only on urban dics. and what better urban dic than wikipedia.
